Anne Blanchet creates moving installations that she calls “visual music”: gates and crossing barriers are programmed to open and close automatically at different rhythms, producing a silent moiré effect reminiscent of music. Light plays a central role in her work: neon lights, red signals, 200,000-volt currents, clouds. In her “light drawings,” Anne Blanchet captures natural light within translucent panels, following geometric lines. Volumes seem to emerge, shifting in value and color depending on the angle of the light.
