Adriana Dorta belongs to a new generation of artists convinced that everything has not yet been done in terms of geometric and kinetic art. Without complexes, she claims to be inspired by the play of colors and perspectives of Yacov Agam and Víctor Vasarely, the lighting effects of Carlos Cruz Diez and James Turrell, and of course the movements created by Jesus Rafael Soto. Also, with determination, she continues the experiments of the human eye concerning the effects of vibration and color through forms and their deconstruction, playing with the effects obtained with light on colors, whether natural or artificial.

Her ambition? Obtain the greatest number of optical variations through the line, while playing on simplicity, even a certain minimalism

The “Moving line” series was born from research aimed at sharpening the trompe-l’oeil of the line. In this case, “Moving Lines” is a minimalist geometric composition, composed of a set of dense lines and others more spaced apart. The initial image is duplicated and inverted, the two images are significantly separated. Thus, the spectator in motion can observe the effects of superposition of lines, even though the pattern is static.
