Primary Colours

The Wagner Gallery presents works by Charles BEZIE, Geneviève CLAISSE and Ueli GANTNER.
These three artists use primary colours respectively in serial compositions organised around the Fibonacci sequence and/or the golden ratio, in a search for movement animating the painted surface, or through three-dimensional wall sculptures so as to create other forms and other coloured “sensations” for the viewer in movement…

Jean-Baptise Chantoiseau – a doctor in image aesthetics at the Sorbonne-Nouvelle University (Paris III), where he teaches art theory, and editor of the Rodin Museum – will lead a conference on primary colours and their use in contemporary painting.

Exhibition from 17 February to 2 April 2018
