- Lives and works in Paris.
« Away from the spotlight, by choice, Ferrer has lived more and more in relative solitude, away from artistic and social circles, while keeping faithful friends and collectors in France and abroad, without abandoning a sensitive contact with what surrounds him. He gladly agrees to be perpetually attentive to beings and things and to find his shapes, his colours, his structures in trees, birds, variations in light and the elements, his relatives and passers-by in the street… Always considered from the inside, life acquires other colours, is translated into planes that become lines or the opposite, into figures that can thicken into volumes; black spaces suddenly light up with polychrome spaces, crystals of darkness flow on united planes, waves arouse feelings, and emotions become concrete… According to the phases of his work, Ferrer plays with colours, lines and curves and the two dimensions, without fear of the lures of the depth that he uses or rejects as he pleases. This lively freedom allows him to move from a fragile little watercolour or a tableautin to a vast monumental panel with the same renewed invention. »
