Eli Jimenez-Le-Parc

- Trained at the « Arte dos Gráfico » silkscreen workshop, Bogota, Colombia.
- Bachelor in Graphic Arts, University of Panama, Panama.
- President of the Association « Chemins d’art ».
- Lives and works in the Paris area.
The weft and the sacred :
At the roots of Eli Jimenez Le Parc’s work, there is the weft. The one that she creates by crossing and recrossing thread to build her geometric volumes, often inspired by mandalas, dream catchers and other talismans….
The one, that she also explores through her photographic work to « draw » the background of her thoughts and her imagination.
And beyond the frame, there is the sacred…Trained as a graphic designer, this Panamanian artist regularly invites us to physical and sensory interactive experiences. Indeed, her sculptures are metaphors of the unreal links, links that were imagined and that are now structuring, our existences in an artificial way, true internal maps, social and political writings of something visible which leads her towards the unseen.
